Insurance & Billing Basics

Understanding billing shouldn't add stress to what's already a lot to think about. This covers the general basics — for your specific scheme, our billing desk is the best place to ask.

What to bring

  • Your insurance/TPA card, if you have one
  • Valid photo ID matching your policy name
  • Any pre-authorisation letter or approval documents
  • Your policy number and insurer helpline

How billing generally works

  • At registration, our billing desk notes whether you plan to use insurance or pay directly. For insured patients we help verify coverage and, where applicable, coordinate approvals before treatment.
  • For procedures needing pre-authorisation, start this as early as possible since approvals can take time. You'll receive an itemised bill; any balance not covered by insurance is payable by you.

Questions to ask our billing desk

  • Is my specific scheme accepted, and is pre-authorisation required?
  • What is covered, and what will I pay out of pocket?
  • What documents do I need for a cashless vs. reimbursement claim?
  • What is the estimated total cost including follow-up and medication?
